NES ARTIST RESIDENCY: EVERYTHING LEAVES A TRAIL
During my time at NES Residency in Skagaströnd Iceland, I continued to develop a growing body of work around the temporal nature of the environment through the passage of time, and the relationship between natural and handmade elements. I created a multi-disciplinary body of work inspired by the Icelandic landscape in Skagaströnd. Through the integration of video, drawing, and ceramics, I explored the relationship between natural and human-made elements and the temporal nature of the environment. Hand-built ceramic objects reflect the forms and colors surrounding the landscape, while large-scale drawings represent my daily observations. An installation features manipulated video of the ocean's movement and sounds and is projected onto ceramic stones.
